Frequently asked questions

Put your best wheels forward. Our vans are thoroughly safety checked and valeted before every hire.

  • I need to rent a van near me. Where are you located?

Glad you asked! We have two branches, each with a large fleet of well-kept vans to rent. One is on Longrigg Road in Gateshead (near Metrocentre). The other is in Sunderland.

    Full directions are available here.

  • Do your rental vans have mileage limits?

Yes, but they're quite generous. All rental vans have a daily (24-hour period) limit of 250 miles. This is capped at 2,400 miles per 28-day period.

That's enough to drive from Gateshead to Edinburgh and back every day for nine days. (And still have a bit of mileage to spare.)

  • Do you offer business hire and leasing?

Yes. We offer a range of short-term and long-term van rental options for commercial customers. For more details, visit our business hire page.

  • I've never driven a van before. Any advice?

Don't worry – as long as you stay alert and keep calm, you'll be fine. But if you feel like you need a little coaching, start by reading our 10 top tips for first-time van drivers.

  • What documents do I need?

Bring your UK driving licence, two proofs of address and a DVLA check code and you'll be on your way in no time. Check codes are available from the DVLA website.
