Keeping Your Vehicles on the Road

With regular servicing in line with manufacture guidelines, we do all we can to keep your vehicle on the road.

In the event your vehicle requires unplanned maintenance, from new brakes pads/disks to a replacement tyre we are here to help – simply call or email our rental team on 0191 4888 700 with the vehicle reg, along with the mileage and we will arrange a convenient time for our service provider to complete the work required.

**If you require a replacement tyre due to damage such as a puncture, blow out or side wall damage this will be chargeable**


What to Do in the Event of a Breakdown?

All our vehicles are supplied either with RAC breakdown cover or manufactures assistance from their chosen provider, in the first event please contact the RAC number printed on your driver’s rental agreement quoting the vehicle registration – they in turn will advise the correct provider if required and/or arrange the required solution.

If roadside assistance is required the dedicated support provider aim to arrive within 90 minutes of the incident been reported. (Please note MVH rental can’t be held liable for arrival times provided by each support provider)

In the event a replacement vehicle is required MVH Rental will arrange this at the earliest convenience FOC (Replacement vehicle may not be of the same size/specification and is only provided temporarily until such a time your original vehicle is repaired)

Should the cause of incident be due to driver error or negligence/damage charges will apply.


Looking After You and Your Vehcile(s)

Our aim is to make servicing your vehicle(s) as simple as possible so your business can keep moving.


MVH Rental Van Stickers

Your vehicle(s) will be fitted with a sticker that clearly states the next date/mileage is required (usually displayed in the top right of the windscreen). When either the date and/or mileage is approaching simply call our rental team and provide the vehicle reg & mileage, we will then make required arrangements with our service provider for the works to be carried out at a convenient time that minimises disruption for you and your business.


Regular Contact

Throughout the duration of each vehicle(s) hire period our rental team from time – time will make contact with you or the driver via telephone/email to capture mileages and help you stay on top of the maintenance/servicing requirements.


Replacement Vehicles

We want to keep your business moving which, is why all Rentals from MVH Rental include a replacement vehicle as standard. In the event a replacement vehicle is required MVH Rental will arrange this at the earliest convenience FOC (Replacement vehicle may not be of the same size/specification and is only provided temporarily until such a time your original vehicle is repaired)


Replacement Tyres & Brakes

With all vehicles supplied by MVH Rental you will have peace of mind when it comes to both tyres and brakes,

Your vehicles tyres & brakes will be regularly checked as part of its scheduled maintenance, but should you become concerned about their safety or require replacements through fair wear & tear our providers are happy to assist.

Simply call or email our rental team on 0191 4888 700 with the vehicle mileage & reg and we will arrange directly with our dedicated suppliers to assist. (please note if a call out is required an additional charge may be applied)

Tyre damages such as punctures/blow outs and side wall damage are not covered under our fair wear & tear policy and as such are chargeable (this also incudes any compression kit that may be used by the driver to attempt a tyre repair) please also note tyres that require irregular replacement based upon mileage between service or maintenance and found to be caused by driver error/negligence or driving in an unfit manner will also be chargeable (instances include erratic breaking/acceleration, spinning of the wheels or over loading a vehicle)

Brake replacements at irregular or low mileages after servicing or maintenance has been completed which may be found to be driver error/negligence will also be chargeable (instances include erratic breaking or over loading a vehicle)
